About Our House

Our House

Through 3 years of iterative, collaborative design and high quality monitoring, evaluation and learning supported by the University of York St John (Institute of Social Justice) we aim to build a unique, innovative model that impacts the lives of young people and their families.

Mental Health and Wellbeing is the focussed priority for the programme supported by:

  • one to one counselling delivered by You and Me Counselling
  • All About Me – a reflective, PSHE daily programme delivered by qualified youth worker
  • School group setting
  • A creative curriculum, underpinned by a social pedagogy model delivered by trained specialist artist facilitators
  • Hollistic wrap around parent support

Through tackling the causes of anxiety Our House provides strategies for schools and families to support a return to school with increased confidence, increased attendance, improved behaviour and raised aspiration for learning.
